容易混淆的单词“require”和“inquire”的不同以及用法~
Require /rɪˈkwaɪə（r）/
v。 需要，依靠；使做（某事），使拥有（某物），（尤指根据法规）规定
It means to need sth。 or to depend on sb。/sth。； or to make sb。 do or have sth。， especially because it is necessary according to a particular law or set of rules。
它指的是需要某物或依赖某人/物；或使某人做某事物或拥有某事物，尤指因为根据特定的法律或规则而需要（这时常用被动形式 be required）。
The situation required that his parents should be present。
这种情况需要他的父母都在场。
What exactly is required of a reporter？
记者的职责到底是什么？
Inquire /ɪn‘kwaɪə（r）/
v。 打听，询问；查究，调查
It means to ask for information about sth。； or means to investigate sth。 carefully。
它指的是询问某事的相关信息；或指仔细调查某事。
He rang up to inquire about the train times。
他打电话查询了列车的时刻。
Tom was appointed as an inspector to inquire into the affairs of this company。
Tom被任命为督察员调查该公司的事务。
