YCIS Qingdao： Exploring Diversity and Cultures | 青岛耀中：探索多样文化
This year, YCIS Qingdao’s International Day was held on November 1st, 2019. On the Day, which is one of our student body’s popular yearly activities, students and teachers came to school dressed in colours representing their class assigned nations.
At 8:15 a.m., everyone congregated in the school gym for our highly anticipated Parade of Nations. Students and teachers took turns to showcase their beautiful costumes and flags.
11月1日，青岛耀中2019年度的国际日活动如期举行。这是学生们最为喜爱的年度活动之一。当天，师生们身着自己班级代表国家的特色服饰，向全校老师及同学展示了多样的文化。早上8点15分，学生们在体育馆内欢聚一堂，进行了各自班级所代表国家的列队游行。许多班级自豪地秀出了自行制作的该国特色服饰、文化产物、装饰及手绘国旗。
After the parade, students spent the rest of the morning shuttling between classrooms, each of which was set up to represent a country. Touring the classroom stations gave our students an in-depth look at and increased appreciation of the world’s diversity.
列队游行结束后，大家来到各个班级根据所代表国家特色而装饰一新的教室，在足不出户的“国际旅行”中，深入了解了世界文化的多样性，度过了愉快的上午。
After a busy morning, hungry students were treated to a buffet lunch with food from all over the world. Parents cooked and brought their favourite dishes from their home countries and shared them with the entire school community.
一个早上的充实活动后，由家长们及学校餐厅精心烹制的各国美食盛宴早已在餐厅准备就绪，等待着饥肠辘辘学生们的到来！大家共享了各国美食，透过不同种类的食物，从色香味俱全的角度了解了不同文化的另一面。
Towards the end of the day, Secondary students gathered in our 5th Floor Hall for the Award Ceremony. We would like to thank everyone who put in a huge amount of effort and dedication to make this day so successful and rewarding for our school community.
下午，中学部学生在5层大厅举办了颁奖典礼，为国际日活动画上了圆满的句号。我们诚挚感谢为本次活动的成功举办贡献了巨大力量的每一位学校社区成员！
